FAQ
✈️ When should I plan to arrive?
No pressure to come early. Sunday evening is the main event! But if you'd like to soak up the weekend with us, we’ll be gathering for Shabbat dinner on Friday and exploring Southern California on Saturday. Come to everything, just the wedding, or make your own adventure — we’re thrilled to celebrate with you.
🏨 What airport should I fly into and where should I stay?
John Wayne Airport (SNA) is closest, about 25 minutes from Dana Point. For more info and hotel recommendations, head to the Travel page above.
📆 Do I need to RSVP for the Friday and Saturday events?
Yes, please! All guests are invited to join throughout the weekend, but we ask that you RSVP for any events you plan to attend when you respond to your main wedding invitation.
🌅 What is the Friday night Shabbat Dinner and Service?
Shabbat evening is a special time to gather in community, welcome a day of rest, and share in tradition. A festive dinner will be served for all guests at 5pm. Immediately following, during services, Elan and Leo will be honored with an aufruf — a “calling up” for a joyful pre-wedding blessing from the rabbis and congregation.
Attire is smart casual — a step above everyday wear, but not overly formal. Think polished yet comfortable. Since this is a particularly special moment in the weekend, feel free to lean festive.
👗 What is the dress code for the wedding?
California Cocktail: colorful, glamorous, and fun. Dress for a celebration.
👶 Are children invited?
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding.
🌊 What will the weather be like?
Late May in Southern California tends to be beautifully mild, usually sunny and in the low 70s during the day, and cooler in the evenings. The mornings can start out cloudy, but the sun usually comes out by noon (“May gray”).
